Josef Frank – Against design visas på ArkDes den 10 mars – 27 augusti 2017. Utställningen är producerad av MAK, Austrian Museum of Applied Arts/Contemporary Art, i Wien 2016.

"Against Design": Josef Frank im MAK Wohnen war für ihn eine Weltanschauung, die Moderne war ihm zu steril, zu formalistisch. Das Museum für Angewandte Kunst in Wien (MAK) widmet einem Vordenker der Zweiten Wiener Moderne eine große Retrospektive. Josef Frank hat als Architekt, Möbel- und Stoffdesigner Akzente gesetzt, die bis heute nachwirken.

Josef Frank. Josef Frank has had an enormous impact on the history of Swedish design. Despite the fact that he was already 50 years old when he fled the burgeoning antisemitism for Sweden and Svenskt Tenn, the Austrian architect is considered to be one of Sweden’s most important designers of all time.
